Can anyone please help me i am the proud owner of a 2016 Gle coupe 350d and a few weeks ago my wife somehow returned home with a broken rear outer passenger side light cluster. She does not know how it happened however my guess is the dreaded supermarket car park. Anyhow after much searching I managed to pick up.a great condition used part and now need to.switch it out. I am aware these are held in by only a few bolts but after opening the boot I cannot seem to work out if the interior boot trim is held on by clips or some hidden screws. I didnt want to force anything for fear of any additional damage so was wondering if anyone had a step by step tutorial to.do this or could possibly write me here to explain how to do this? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you all soon. Thanks Alex

please read this thread. There are 3 nuts holding the lights to the body. They are difficult to see, you will have to feel it.

Thanks so much for your help. I just read through and understand the 3 screws/bolts that need to come out. Can you possibly explain how to remove the interior trunk lining so that I can access the screws? Is that lining held on by clips?

I appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Alex

Try undoing the tie down hooks and remove the tailgate rubber seal. The inner panel will become loose and you will feel a couple of clips that need to be undone.
