Hey guys,

I looked at my car today and the left front fender is dented, it is about the size of a softball. Fortunately, there are no scratches or buffmarks; it looks like someone just slammed their fist against it. I think it will pop out, but I don't really want to try without knowing what exactly to do.

I looked up a couple of idea, like a rubber mallet and suction cups. Has anyone tried either of these with any success? I don't want to go to a bodyshop and get raped. I have a 2005 C230K Sedan. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can post pics later, I am at work right now.

Thanks, Mark[:(!]

Mark,

I wouldn't even mess with it. Take it to a reputable place that specializes in paintless dent removal. It shouldn't cost your any more than $150. We had a baseball sized dent removed that way last year in a hard to do spot and it came out PERFECT. Best $125 I ever spent. Ask yourself, what happens if you try it and make it worse? Look at it this way, you spent $35K on your car, spend the $100+ and get it fixed the right way.

How do you like your 230 sport so far? We're thinking of getting one for my Mom, but I hear they are supposed to be discontinuing that engine come summer.
