I'm going to guess you left the battery connected? Please don't say you also had the key in the ignition? If so this may get expensive.

Start by reading the codes and see what it tells you, if you're in a major metro area you can print out the 94169 page for Harbor Freight and get it for the 'net price.

You can also try disconnecting the battery (WITH THE KEY OUT) and step on the brake for a minute, then reconnect battery and try it, see what happens.

When you have a minute please also click the User CP link and complete your BW profile re: vehicle and location as that is often useful information.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

Was your SRS on before you did the work?

You'll have to reset a handful of things (all covered in the manual) but really that may be the least of your problems now. It's entirely possible it is just a bad coincidence but I've never trusted such coincidences. Try the car reset and see what it does...although that will clear stored codes. I suppose if it was mine I'd read codes first, then do the reboot. I do wish you good luck, man.

Any lights flashing on the mirror throughout any of the starting process?

I fear you may well have irritated the DAS gods.

And here I thought you'd done the basics. :)

Seriously, I'm glad it was something simple.
