I have a problem with the heater, when it first heats up with the setting on warm, it gets real hot. It can be turned down to a cooler setting and it will cool off (not immediately) in several minutes. After about 30 minutes it seems to work "sort of" correctly, it doesn't seem like you can set it and it stays at that setting , you have to keep changing the selector from time to time. I did searches on this, but didn't read a problem like this one exactly. I did read on a post that said the controls where changed 11/99, mine was built 8/99, so I have the old controls. Has anyone had or heard of a problem like this?
Thanks in advance for your help

It appears from what you describe that there is a problem with the Blend Door Actuator Motor or the Interior Temp. Sensor. To conduct the tests for these two parts you will have to remove the center console to gain access to the A/C Control Module.

With a DVOM, conduct the tests highlighted in the pdf.
