Hey Everyone,
really need your help. i am considering purchasing a 1985 560sec. the guy i want to buy it from is asking $2500.00 for the car, but he told me that the heater core has been bypassed because it leaks. does anyone know how involved it is to replace it on these coupes? thanks in advance for all your help!!

Fred,

You sure its an 85? Is it a euro? I'm not positive, but is this the same as the "heater box"? If so, you pretty much have to get the dash out to do it, and that's an involved job. Do-able, but time consuming. I have a heater box on my SEC parts car if you end up buying it, need one, and that is actually the part you are talking about!

Cheers,
Markus

based on that i may just forget about it and purchase another SEL. i do like how gorgeous the coupes are, but i dont think i'll want to do a heater core.
