Hi all..

New owner of an 83 Euro 500SEC, and have been reading this forum over the last few weeks. Great place for information!

My question/problem. Both driver and passenger seatcushions are not heating up. The backs of both seats are. Fuses are good, switches look clean, and indicators light up. Before I take apart the seats, wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? I found a thread in another forum about a control module under the backseat that controls the seats. Is it the same in the 500SEC? Seems odd that both seat cushions are not working. It seems there might be some kind of shared component for them both?

Anyone seen this behavior before?

Thanks
David

Under each seat, there are two sets of 2-pin plugs - one controls the backrest heating pad, the other the base.

Maybe someone has lifted the seats one time and didn't reconnect both plugs under each seat.

Thanks for the info.. I'll pull the seats next weekend and check out the pins. Looks like I might want to re=check the switch connections too after looking at that diagram.

Also.. pics as requested.
