Hi All,

I have recently purchased a CLK 320 04/2004 model.
The button to move the headrests down do not work. The headrests only move up.
I have checked the fuses and it all seems fine.
Does anyone have any ideas to what it might be?

Thanks in advance

Not sure - but mine has misbehaved like that once or twice over the past few years.

Do you have the seat memory feature?. Mine recovered after I switched to a different memory number - which seemed to reset the headrest position. After that it was OK again.

Again, not too sure. But I would try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. You would have to re-synchronize your windows, sunroof, steering, etc - but it might clear the headrest memory.

What happens if you do a seat tilt/lift action? That normally brings the headrest down to the bottom limit.

Try pulling fuses #27 and #29 (in the driver's side dash). This will reset the control module. If that doesn't work, you may have a bad wiring harness . Remove the rear seat back (two Torx screws on the bottom edge, then slide down) and you can access the wiring and motor.
