I need to replace the seals on both headlamps but can't see how to disconnect the vacuum tube so as to get the lamps on the bench.
Is there a trick to it or will I have to cut and repair? Any pointers to a source of the seals?

The vacuum lines connect to small plugs that are removable. I had to replace one a year or so ago. I sourced the new plug here:

From memory I sprayed the old connector with WD40 and removed it by levering the side with a screwdriver. The new connector just pushed on.

Don't try and remove the original purple vacuum lines from the old connector while they are on the headlight -that's how I broke the original connector. .

To reconnect the new connector I cut away the piece of purple line with the broken stub then joined the purple line and new connector with 3mm ID plastic pipe.
