Just finished changing the headlight switch on my 92 300SE. WIS instructions were spot on. Took about an hour. Switch is fully functional and replaced the tiny bulb that backlights the lightbar showing what lights are on. Also replaced the tiny bulb in the new switch that is supposed to illuminate the switch handle, but it didn't. Tried bulbs I knew to be good, still no light. Dug into the WIS instructions and the first step was disconnect the "quiescent current retention device"...anybody know where this is located? WIS shows a tester for checking "quiescent current draw" and it looks like a fuse. Checked every fuse (front and rear) for continuity and everything OK. Didn't see anything near the fuse panels that might be a candidate.
Thanks!

If you are looking for the pointer arrow of the switch to illuminate, it doesn't. Now if you pull the switch to turn on the fog lights, the round orange indicator will light up.
