You can just buy the plastic knob from the dealer if that is all you need.

Plenty of them via fleabay. Unfortunately they have a shitty design with the globe and holder inside the switch and it crumbles with age. Do you still have these exposed ?

I have ordered mine and I'm waiting for it.

Just noticed that the light from the knob that controls the air vent is off.
Neeed to replace the little led.
Do I just pull the knob until it comes off or to access that light requires something else?

Just try to put it back on for now until you get a new one. Mine was worn out too and came off real easy, so I got a good one from a junk yard. Be careful though don't force it.

thanks a lot for all your help guys.

Meantime the light on the knob that controls the air vent gone. I need to replace it. This knob is fixed the same way, therefore in order to change the little lamp inside I just need to gentle pull it off?

Do a search on the top right of the w124 forum foe vent removal. There is a lot of older topics on this and is a little more involved than pulling on them.

Yeah Sam you need multiple sharp pointy objects to lift up those little catches inside the vent etc
