The singles are the European headlights. There's a post down below about it. Go to this site called German Star. They sell them for 365 per headlight. They are pretty pricey.

If you use the 560SL air damn you will have to do away with the turn signals and use the ugly electrical box ones that hang off the bumper. There is another less agressive air dam that was used in the mid 80's. I think it is more suited to the '73. PN 107 790 01 88. 121.90 here.

Don't know if they would pass inspection where he is. Do they blink?
Those are MY turning signals. Yes, they blink......and the car was from Georgia and then South Carolina.

The reason I asked about blinking was I am sitting here looking at the left assembly out of the '81 280 and someone has wired in a non MB socket for the side marker. I thought maybe it was to put a dual filament bulb in. Must have been for another reason.

From what I hear the turn signal and parking lights for euro cars is all in the headlights. My car has been retrofitted with the early style turn signals. The euro headlights have a bunch of bulbs in them, can't remember how many though, I just got them all working a couple of months ago. I think there are either 3 or 4 bulbs per headlight.

I would be interested in the headlights. Can you provide pictures and a price?
Will be a couple of weeks before I even get that far I'm afraid, I need to track down some RHD ones first, and then remove these and photograph them before I can determine condition and price. Sorry. :( Maybe I jumped the gun.

1 21w bulb for each indicator.
1 4w bulb for each headlight for parking/clearance lights
1 60/55w dual bulb for each headlight for high/low beam
