1993 190E (W201), and I wanna tell you, I love this car...but whoever owned it before? What the **** did they do to her? Seriously?

She's never been in a collision, and yet both headlights are SEVERELY out of alignment. The right headlight casts its beam way up the road and the left one illuminates the area about 45° downward from the hood. (Oh, and she's looking kinda cross-eyed as well.)

It's obvious that someone was messing with things they shouldn't have been messing with - headlight adjustment, the Bowden cable, the heater/AC core assembly...yeah, it's a mess, but I'm fixing it up.

So, my question is not exactly HOW to adjust the headlights, but WHERE to adjust them? That is, where should I aim them? How exactly should they be aimed (both low and high), or should I take them to a certified pro that has that mega-expensive machine that they want to charge me gobs of dollars to use? (I'd rather not.)

Thanks in advance!
