HOWDY-

I've got a used 91 300E with 188K and the headlamps became intermittent/off first on RH then LH occasionally. Looked at the harnesses and it was melted at the connectors (original equip.)!
Replaced both connectors as well as about 6 fuses that looked questionable (two were cracked)and that was 6 months ago. Now the R/H acted up on the dash, and lost 75% power - the connector is scorched at one pole!!!
Any known voltage trouble with headlamps???

Thanks RPMAX

Thanks KN90d3,

But did anyone give you a reason what would fry the ground on a lamp connector?

I thought the regulator or sloppy battery charging, but everything else seems to work.

My wallet will be lighter this PM- the car is at Mercedes now getting checked.

I do know I WON'T be upgrading to a new V12-
the showroom price is $188,000!
Sure hope they offer cash back.
