I have a swedish E220 -95, this means that the head lamps are always on, also with the control knob in neutral position.

Now to the issue; the position lights comes on, but headlights stays off, if I use the switch and manually turn them on they works.

Any idea on what I should look for here?

Hi
so - the headlights are supposed to come on with the ignition , regardless of switch position, but instead they only come on when you turn them on with the lights-switch? But the sidelights come on?

Never seen a diagram for that set-up, maybe check the ignition switch connections?

cheers

Correct, they are supposed to come on via the live + (or similar) signal, coming from the ignition. When you engage them via the switch the instruments lights up as well, and lamp wipers will engage.

The switch will override as soon as you engage it, for example foglights works as normal.
