Page 278 of the Operator's Manual refers to a Parcel Net on the left side, in the trunk. It's also shown on page 420 of the manual. Have you received it? My car doesn't have it, and Dealer says he knows nothing about this.

No, not aware that I was supposed to get one.

I picked up an aftermarket hammock style net from Aid Auto Stores and hooked it to the anchors already there. Unfortunetly there is no bottom anchors or anyplace to really mount a set. I'm going to mess with that this weekend.

Our C300 Sport 4matic has a small net that keeps the first aid kit from moving around; and it is on the left side of the trunk.
My first aid kit is hidden behind a little door on the left side of the trunk.

Ours came with the net on the left side, and on another note, if anyone is thinking of getting a trunk liner, don't! The fit is terrible! We have a VW, and the one we bought for it fits like a glove and cost half the price. I would have thought the one from Mercedes would have been just as good, but no such luck.

My trunk looks different from yours. Where you have the first aid kit and manuals I have a door like on the right side that hides my first aid kit. Unfortunatly I have to keep my manual in the driver side door.

TRUNK LINER

I don't think the trunk liner is that bad ... i mean even if it doesn't fit perfect it still serves the purpose of protecting your carpet. It's not like someone is going to point it out, just one of those things that annoys the owner. How much did you pay for that?

It's not that bad. I have a similar MBz liner for my ML. It's plastic and tend to be so slippery so if you put something without a cargo net, they will be sliding all over the place when you're driving..I still like it though as it protects my carpet which easily gets dirty because of the colour - light gray. Best thing, I got it free from the dealer...:)

Is it the correct liner? I ask because there are different part numbers according to whether or not you have split/folding rear seats. According to the UK accessories brochure, A204 814 0041 is for vehicles with split/folding rear seats; A204 684 0005 for those without.

Wow...yeah...mine's completely different from those photos too. Like yours, it's a door with a holder for the first aid kit behind it. I wonder if this is a change they made after mine (ours) were built. Mine was built in Stuttgart and I took delivery on October 12, 2007.

I keep my owner's manual in the net tacked to the center console on the passenger side. From photos I see online, it seems a lot of Mercedes owners keep their manuals there.

My trunk liner doesn't fit exactly either. But it's there to protect the floor from spills and grime and the fit is good enough so it's staying in.

That's what I asked the parts department, and they assured me it was the right one. But, not being satisfied, I took it out to the dealer's lot and tried it in a car with the split folding seats, and it fit that one the same way. We couldn't tell any difference in the fit of it between the car with split folding seat, or the one without.

Probably a running change... Ours has a build date of Feb 2008, and we took delivery in April.

That might be it... mine (the one in the picture) is a P1 without MM.
