There was a thread on here a while back asking who had their original first aid kit.

I used some of my original first-aid kit tonight. Two in the morning in a blind panic is not the best time to be figuring out what is in a bunch of small unlabeled (or German labeled) cardboard boxes.

Has anyone updated their first aid kit? What should be in it?

Hi! I never use any less than 5 years old... Not only could I be fined by a cop or fail the 2 yearly TÜV, but I think it's rather important to have up-to-date and sterile bandages etc. Even if I never had to use it in a (real) emergency :)

Bandages, sticking plaster or clamps to fixate, band-aids, triangular arm sling(s), sterile compresses, a rescue blanket, a scissor and a piece of chalk (to mark body lines? :D) and I think the original FA kit also contained some special compresses for burnings.

It's also good to have a first aid training, I had to do one to get my license and will repeat the excercise next year, as I feel I forgott quite a lot of it...
