Im just curious, but has anyone (else) ever suspected Dealerships sabotaging customers cars to insure their future return for more business? I know they will always tell you that something else needs repaired in addition to what they just replaced, but do you think that they ever intentionally do something to a car to be sure it comes back? I read things all the time about people who get their car serviced and shortly after, something else needs fixed, and then something, else, and then something ELSE ....etc.
I never had my car serviced at the Dealership because I am a DIYer and I usually fix my own car to save money anyway. Also, there is no feeling like doing it yourself if you know how, because you get the peace of mind in knowing that everything was done right. NOBODY will take care of your car like you will! I have never had any of my cars even WASHED by somebody else Lol.
About an hour ago, I dropped my CL500 off at the dealership to get the ABC hose repaired under recall (since it is free), but I am nervous now wondering what else they might be up to....
What if they decide to sprinkle a little bit of sand in my ABC system which we all know is sensitive to ANY contamination!
I was VERY tempted to just ignore the recall rather than risk them tampering with my car. And I know what youre going to say, so I already have a fire extinguisher in my trunk just in case. I have seen a few pics and videos of CLs that went up in a blaze so I got a nice little fire extinguisher to go in my trunk, it makes me feel a little better if nothing else.
I hate letting other people work on my car. Its almost like letting somebody fondle your wife!
Well, not quite that bad... although some of you guys ENJOY watching other people do your wife :surrender: Okay, Im getting WAY of topic here. My point is, does anybody else suspect that they might ever do something to your cars? Now that I have 3 Mercedes, I think I might just have to get myself one of those STAR Diagnostic machines so I can do even more of my own repairs. AND, I can make my baby do the rodeo and watch her DANCE! (Only when flushing the ABC fluid of course! Not just for fun
) I can get one on Ebay for about $700 now so it might be worth the investment... Christmas IS coming soon
