I have been told they exist.
Someone show me a pic (I have searched but have not found anything) and I will know my new vehicle!
If anyone has any info I would take that too.
Thanks,

One should never say never, but I've been a fan and owner for many years and never come across a live factory built DoKa Cabrio or any literature/pics.
Attached is a picture of a customised 416 built up by Schüssler which I took at the factory in Wörth during the 60 year celebrations. Sorry about the fish-eye effect...

Years ago I had some guy out west try to pawn off a green doka cab that he claimed was a factory rag top. What it really was, was a truck missing the fiberglass high roof that was replaced by canvas. Scott at EI took the truck apart after a fire and said the bondo was over an 1" thick on it in spots! this was after the owner claimed it was rust free with no bondo anywhere. I don't know what ever happened to that cab, but someone got burned if they bought it.

It wouldn't be that hard to fabricate. Find a soft top cab and stretch it. That one might actually not be factory either. Maybe just a good job.

I think the idea of converting the fiberglass top truck to a snap on tonneau cover top is a good one if it was done right. Maybe a couple extra removable curved top bows to keep it taught and shed rain.

That Targa is pretty cool too.

Thanks again.
I think this last one is the same as the first one, just based on the tread plate on the fuel tank.
It has a different license plate, but it is common for a Unimog owner in Germany to get a plate
That reflects the model of the truck.

Looks like two Eller Fiberglass tops stacked on there.
I am positive there are more photos- I remember the two yellow ones next to each other.
I have a murky memory of a red one, same style as the first yellow one.

A while ago I posted a "Mog sighting" of a 416 Doka Cabrio on a LA freeway at night.
Didn't get a responce of anyone knowing about it.
It was night time in full on traffic, but I did manage to get along side of it and wave at the owner.
It was a beautiful custom Mog, full cage, UNIversal-MOtor-Gerät, written on the bottom of the passenger door. Very nice desert camo paint. The top was off.
Very nicely done, would love to see a build of it.
Das Dat...

102 torque converter
377 speedometer adapter
427 first aid box with bracket
441 seat covers in imitation leather olive-green
455 sun visor, co driver´s
463 windshield washer
487 painting of polished parts
488 cab rising device
804 24V electrical system
812 Tachograph one-day
861 additional floodlight for front mounted implements
863 Hazard warning light
876 Plug socket used for separate start
972 Warning triangle and emergency lantern
988 Underfloor protection,
990 Elimination of radiator anti-freeze
998 order as per bill of material
999 order as per detailed description

Your Unimog was deliverd to the German Army to pull air planes.
I´ve never seen a cabrio as a 406 crew cab. So I think someone modified the cabine later.
It doesn´t make sens to deliver a pre heater and additional cab heater to a cabrio.

Keep digging, the Unimog world is a small one (relatively), it a previous owner did the conversion, and I suspect that's what happened, you should be able to track them down, or someone who knows. Unimogcommunity . de might be a good place to start if you can post in German.
