I just bought a e350 few months ago with Harmon Kardon sound system. I just realized that sometimes when i re-start the car after i am driving it for a while, the sound system really kicks in. It becomes way more louder than when i first started the car. I wasn't sure what was happening so i took it to the dealer but they told me that they could not find anything wrong with it. I know there is something wrong with it but i don't know what it is. If there is someone who has had the same problem please help....

Your system sounds like it is working properly to me ... there is a microphone within the cabin and it adjusts the sound of the stereo to compensate for road noise. So, if you are stopped at an intersection, it should lower the volume, and once you get up too speed it should increase the volume - hopefully maintaining a 'normalized' listening level, overall. I'm not sure I really like it, but that is how it works.
