Has this happened to anyone else?

I was parked on an incline in a driveway and I shifted from Park to Reverse. It was an extremely hard shift.......had to put some pressure to get it to its position.

Now, I've noticed that when I switch between gears, everything seems so loose and rickety. I hope I didn't f*** something up. This shouldn't affect the trans at all, right? Damn, I hate worrying about little sh** like this.

thanks

The question is do you use your E brake when parking on inclines (as in stopping engaging the E brake and then taking your foot off the brake) or do you just put it in park and then let the park pin take all the pressure? All I know is if you do the later of the two it's not good for your transmission. I would get a mechanic to take a look. Sorry.

Since the tranny is electronic, you may consider removing the battery cables to clear the memory before spending the $ at a stealership.

Worth a try.
