Can the headlamp housing of the C230 Sports Coupe handle the heat generated by a performance rated '110W' H7 bulb?<br> <br> Please answer anyone!

No, it can't. If you want a brighter bulb, take a look at the Philips VisionPlus. I used PIAA extreme whites and they're pretty white. They're DOT 55W but equivalent output of 85W. They complement HID on my CLK and E430SE.(approx same color.

What I would recommend are the Philips Vision Plus for H7.<br>

Side note: one of the bulbs in your CL230 is a Philips (of the same series as the VisionPlus), the other is an OSRAM. Stock bulbs are bright, but these are about 20% brighter.<br>
