Hello there. I purchased h&r sport lowering springs for my 1998 S420. I do not have rear self leveling suspension.
I want to know what shocks to run with these springs for best daily comfort.
I also would like to know why I can not run lowering springs with my current shocks the Bilstein 24-017060(front) and Bilstien 24-017077 (rear)
What shims should I run with these springs?
The springs are suppose to lower the vehicle 1.3" front and rear

Thank you.

Note. I have stock 16" rims with 235/60/16 tires all the way around.

The only option ive come across myself is the Bilstein B8's. You could use your current B4's but likely the valving isn't suited to control the shorter\stiffer spring, which results in sub optimal ride quality and handling (no idea what sort of spring rate increase the H&R.have) Hard to say what pads to use until the springs have been installed and settled. Id probably just use what the factory used and adjust later if required assuming you are with the current front\rear balance.

Those tyres will help mitigate some of the ride quality loss.
