Well, I decided to get it shipped and I used a really nice shipper who brought it straight to me from Chicago in a completely enclosed carrier with only one other car and mine went in first and came out first so there was no unnecessary moving around--just one guy had to drive it into the carrier and one guy had to back it out. It only took a day and a half to get here, and let me tell you all, it was NOT cheap by any means, but for the peace of mind it was worth every penny. And I got such a great deal on the car I felt like I could afford to spend a bit more on the shipping. So, now that I am driving it, I must say I am sure that the people who invented the SUV are in cahoots with the guys that invented Viagra, because I have never felt so turned on and fired up as when I am sitting in the driver's seat of my gorgeous 500SL, and I certainly never felt like this lugging that that nasty old behemoth of a Range Rover around town (although i guess it was good for hauling stuff back from Home Depot and so forth, which now I will just have to let all of the guys that are following me around deliver the stuff for me!) I will NEVER go back to driving a SUV. NEVER. You guys are the best. I am really happy. I will post a picture tomorrow.

Congrats Ivory:

It's a real kick in the tail - isn't it ?

First step--read the manual . . .really. Then spend some additional time reading the posts in this forum. Both efforts will be rewarded by really getting to understand the feaures of your wonderful new car.

And remember to post those pics when you get a chance - -will you please ?
