I'm new to the site and getting very close to my first Mercedes. Living in the metroNYC area, I'm a bit concerned about Z rated performance tires and the unavoidable potholes I'll encounter. In '03, you had a choice of Z or H rated tires, now both models come equipped with the Z performance tires. Any insight would be appreciated.

Finally, comments on the model choices above would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

I got Z rated tires and work good to me and not a problem with the holes that in Puerto RICO are a lot. But in this forum there is threat about the tire problems( mine are pirelli's)
