Hi Everyone,

I have a 2016 Mercedes Benz C450 AMG. I have cracked four of the factory rims, and decided, when I cracked the fourth, to replace the wheels with Rohana RFX15s. I ordered a set of Rohana RFX 15s with Nitto NT555 G2 tires (entire specs below). When they were mounted, the technician reported that front wheels were locking up because they don't clear the control arms. Anyone have any experience with this that can offer guidance?

Also attaching a few photos that approximate what I am trying to accomplish. These are photos of the same wheels on a W205 C63. When I sized the wheels on Fitment Industries site, the indication was that these wheels would work, so maybe there is some kind of work around?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks Everyone!

Josh

Are the front wheels the same size as the OEM? Same question for the front tires. Seems like you put 245s on the front. My C300 has 225s on the front. Could that be the issue?

I would ask Fitment Industries either way.

Thanks for your reply calonzo!

You're correct, the factory tires are 225/35Rs. I needed a slightly wider tire since the Rohana rims are slightly wider than the factory ones, and I needed a lower profile tire than the factory ones to compensate for the wider rim diameter (the factory wheels were 19" and the Rohanas are 20"), hence the 30R instead of 35Rs. Admittedly this is the first time I tried to size custom wheels for a car, but I did find a formula for sizing tires online and, according to that the new wheels should fit. I had not considered this control arm issue at all. As you suggested, I have contacted Fitment Industries, and waiting for a response. If anything, it seems like it would be the wheel offset that would most affect this, if I am understanding the problem correctly. Thanks again for the reply!

Sounds like you need more negative offset which can be achieved by using wheel spacers. Determiner how many mm you want / need to push the wheel out by
Thanks for the reply! I did hear back from Rohana and they said I either would need 8mm spacers or to get the wheels with a 25mm offset instead of the 35mm I bought. Mystery solved I guess--ordered some spacers today, we'll see how that goes.

Awesome. Im not sure if its the same on your C as it is on my SL r230 but just pay attention to front vs rear spacers. On my r230 the fronts spacers are a different style than the rear
