Yes, it's amazing. i've been fighting with myself between the canon 30d and nik 200 for a while. It was the 18-200 VR that sold me too nikon. the results are amazing and I dont even know what I'm doing. ;) cannot wait to use it at the track day this weekend.

yep, they make awesome cameras ,
its not all about the megapixels ...
the 30D is an improved 20D with the same sensor, personally, i dont like the 20D's image 'plastic' feel, i expect no better for the 30D.

What other lens you got?

Thats it at the moment. i did some zooms and some macro's with the 18-200, seems to cover a wide range. I'd love a 12mm macro though.. need to read up(and save) up a little though, before i get one.

Zut.. next time you see her she'll have 069 on as thats my number this weekend as its a different club.. Guessing im supporting nikki heyden.

Fantastic Pics!

I especially like the one of the side vents on the front bumper. It looks like a mirror!

These are wonderful piccies of a wonderful car. I am glad to see that the paint-ball incident has left no scars. [:D][:D][:D]

Hey Easty, seen a lot of your posts around here. I'm kind of new here to the forum, though I've been lurking for a while.

I think you got some really nice pics there!
Just one thing, if you haven't already done so, try color correcting them a bit (mainly by removing crap data within the levels in PhotoShop). This way you will get a bit more punch in your pics (see below).

your original:

These are just suggestions and are not at all meant to offend.

Another tip is to not be afraid to use the sharpen filters in PhotoShop on some areas, just make sure your selection is soft on the edges (use feather function under the selection menu in PhotoShop).

OK, obviously these tips are meant for PhotoShop but can be applied as general ideas of what you can do regardless of application.

Hope it helps.

Hey thanks mate. I didn't play with them in photoshop. But I have so much to learn. The camera has so much also that i really need to read about. I have played with some photo's in photoshop, I took a few in RAW mode and these are far superior compared to these web based jpg's. Thanks for the tips, I have a photoshop book on roder. ;)

For the casual user just get Photoshop Elements. You can even download it. It has 95% of the features at a fraction of the price.[;)]

Canon user here myself... went from a 20D to a 30D just today and lovin' it! Mostly because a friend wanted to buy my 20D at a really good price :)
Dont want to steal the thread here but I have a Canon 20D myself and used to have a 10D. Going from 10D to 20D was well worth it and I was able to sell my 10D for a good price as well.

Is the upgrade from 20D to 30D worth it? Any comments yet?
