grinding noise

Anyone get a grinding like buzz from the steering wheel on cold start ups? It lasts for like 2 secs.I was at the dealer and started a 01 AMG ML and it did the same thing.It was also cold that day(-20).I just wanted to know if it was common for are trucks?
