I wanted to bring the life back into my original weather stripping and rubber seals on my 1980 300SD. My original 32 year weather striping is starting to crack and turn white but it is still in good condition and does not need replacing, just protecting.

Well, I found this excellent product that brings old rubber back to life. Softens up hard spots and restores the original deep black color. Water proof, heat resistant to 600 F and cold resistant to -20 F. Does not wash off and sticks to the rubber. Watch this video I posted. Very good product.

Thanks,
My rubber bits, especially around the back window, have been getting cracked too, and white from the sun/wax/polish ect. Now if only the alum trim on these cars could be fixed...

Oh by the way IIRC you just recently acquired your 300sd right? I am planning on getting a second car for fun, a w108/109, w114/115, w123, or w116. If you dont mind me asking, I was wondering how much you picked your car up for, seems in good condition.
(You said 5000 in your thread, but I was wondering if you got it lower)
