was changing the oil the other day. Wasn't paying attention when screwing on the oil filter housing cap.. the o-ring was not seated correctly. Needless to say, I made a huge mess when I went to start it...
Since the w251 is still kind of new, I doubt anyone has replaced their belts. However, I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions, or is replacing the belt the only solution?
Eric, have you had to do any belt replacements? Any hints/tips, etc...
kinda urked that this 20 min job turned into a huge mess of a thing
Thanks,
-Robert

If the oil went EVERYWHERE, pull off that plastic cover, and spray "purple power" from wallmart over everything to clean the engine, then hose off. do that a few times. That will really get off the oil with out hurting anything on your eng.
