This is going to be a long story. Parts have already been posted, but here is the whole story. We decided to sell our 98 ML 320 after years of good use. At 157,000 miles we figured we would get some money out while we could. Plus we had some repairs here and there-all after 150,000 miles but it helped us make up our minds about selling.
We ended up selling to an exporter in New Jersey who claimed to be exporting it to Jordan. I don't know about this, all I know is that his check cleared so I am happy. We test drove several ML's including an ML 55 AMG. We even considered a Pontiac Vibe.....until the test drive. We decided on a 2001 ML 320 in Chicago. So last Saturday I took the train from Flint to Chicago (only $21.60 with the AAA discount!) and bought the truck. Drove back the same day.
The truck was filthy. Spent a good part of the day Sunday cleaning the interior. Took my wife into the hospital on Sunday night. Monday morning at 9:24 am our son was born. Brought them home on Tuesday. Washed and waxed the truck that night.
The first picture is the old ML being loaded onto the carrier. My 3 year old was upset. We brought him home from the hospital in that one. The picture of our new one is when he is about 8 hours old.....the rest you will figure out I am sure. If the pictures are not clear, sorry. This is the first time I tried resizing using Photoshop.
