Hey guys, after working with my rear suspension for about 3 days straight and then ordering new rear shock assemblies for a 99+ ML. I then compared them side by side with that of my 98 and I have come to the conclusion they are 100% identical except one looks 100 years old and one looks all shiny and new. So it is my belief that the 99 and up Bilsteins will work on the 98's. I will be ordering a set of them and will confirm that they fit without a problem.
