Hello. I need to find a good online parts source for my 1982 280SL EURO. It would be much easier if it wasn't a Euro version. I checked Autohaus AZ, German Star, and a few others. I tried searching but found nothing terribly great. Can anybody suggest a good place online where I can buy EURO 280SL parts? Thanks

Everything but drive train look for '82 380sl parts. Drive train parts....you will need part numbers to be able to order. You are not going to find any one place online for 100% of the parts.

Of course, there is the dealer. That's where I get 95% of my 280 SL parts.

I think there are German & UK sites that could help for Euro parts.

What I do is use the russian site to figure out the part number needed.

russian site: Óçëû è àãðåãàòû

Then I use the part # to get the part. Most of the parts are the same between say a 280ce or 280e and the sl or slc. Mercedes shared the partsbin for many parts, they used a lot of 107 part #s but you'll also see 126 and 116 #s also. The only part I ever had to take back was the rear flex disc b/c I said 450sl and that has a different drive line and the brake pads without sensors.

It really isn't that difficult to find parts if you know what to say, it is hard to explain that you have a euro car and the parts might not be the same. If you don't wanna mess around go to the dealer with your vin and they can hook you up, but it is costly.

Good luck finding parts, you'll figure it out.

A website with euro parts and numbers you might wanna check out is europartsdirect. I think I've bought something from them a long time ago like a fog light lense or something stupid.

They actually sell decent parts too, I haven't used them recently though. They sell Meyle parts which are pretty good I think. My aunt says lemforder are good and she works at SSF so she'd know. Add a little meat to the conversation.

AWESOME! Thank you so much daryn! Euro Parts Direct had exactly my model and the Russian website is very good for reference. I am eager to get started on the SL now :D
