Going to Chicago Auto Show to see S65 debut.. Decision time! Wait for new body or do it 65 style!?

Not sure what to do...I want the S65 and I can get one for a little under list price...what would you do? I have to wait so long for the fast new bodies to come out. But the new 5.5 liter s500 should make ...what? 350hp? Not bad but not great. I might be satisfied with that for its looks and new gizmo's for a year maybe but then I will eant more power. Should I just pull the trigger for a few years on the s65 or wait for the new S. I like the looks but I would really be buying it for a new style and technology....any help appreciated....regardless of my present vehicles (e55,sl600,Z8, escalade, G500)

according to my friends at laurel motors, the new s won't be out until fall of 06 (i.e., 18 months from now) as an 07 model.

apparently, there is some confusion that the new s was going to be introduced this fall (i.e., fall 05 as an 06). not true. the new ml will be out this fall; the new s to follow next fall.

therefore, if you really are soliciting my opinion, buy/ lease the s65 now. afterall, you live life once - and if you live it right - once is enough. cheers.

The New S is suppose to be introduced at the Geneva motor show. If you want the 65 now, maybe you should get it, because you will never know when will mb introduce the 65 for the New S
