I have a 1983 240D and it appears that the glow plug time is to short. It is hard starting because of that. Any suggestions? Is it the glow plug relay or the temp sensor or maybe something else?
thanks

More info is needed to give a sure or close enough diagnosis. What's the ambient temperature? Has the car been running in the past few mins or hours or is it a cold start (8-12 hrs since shutdown)? For how long is the glow plug cycle during these times? For the time being, you may want to wait 5-15 sec after the light extinguishes before starting.

New guy here, so if you have a hazing I need to go through, bring me your worst.

I have a 1983 300D turbo. When I turn the key for the first time for the glow plugs, I get only about 2 seconds of "glow time". So I need to turn the key a couple of times to get enough "glow" to start.

Suggestions?
