I just encountered this problem today and it has never happened before. When I turn the car on and the engine is running the glow plug light will flash for about 30 or so seconds. Does this mean they need replacing? Or did a cable come off? Please help. I dont wanna drive it if its unsafe like this.

Where do I buy new ones? and is it that hard to install myself.
Its great in the rain. So should I just replace all 5 glow plugs just to do it? its almost at 150k miles now.
brand matter at all?
K im kind of a noob with cars but I know some stuff. Are the glow plugs the ones on top of the engine or the ones laying on their sides? Is their anything I should watch out for or also replace while doing this?
