well.... that was a close one
after months of being away from home for university, i finally came home for the long weekend to have a play around with the cars. dad had been complaining about some weird noises etc, that accompanied the usual barrage of strange vibrations and noises.
as i haven't been around to look at the car for a while i was very surprised to see the state of the flex discs and a couple of other rubber parts which i knew needed to be repaired but have gotten significantly worse since I've left.

so far on the list
-flex discs, highest priority at this point in time
-front and rear subframe bushings
-engine mounts
-under car rust removal/prevention
-suspension bushings
-wishbone mount bushings
-brakes and pads
-and everything else that i find along the way

i have to do a bit more research, but im assuming that flex discs aren't overly complicated to replace, just a couple of bolts on either end of the shaft right?
does anyone know the part numbers for flex discs? and a reputable supplier-i dont exactly want to replace them and then BOOM! a week later they break anyway.
also opinions on the best way to remove the subframe to replace engine mounts and subframe bushings, i personally like the idea of keeping the engine inside of the car and raising the entire car off the subframe, but am very open to other methods.
as this will be a relatively large job, is there anything else i should replace or check out whilst everything will be off of the car, id prefer to not have to do the same job twice.

thanks in advance for your help

Not exactly. It does require to remove the exhaust and the heat shields, then undoing the centre nuts of the shaft to allow compressing to withdraw from the flanges. You need a 41mm and 46mm spanners. Replace centre bearing and carrier.

Obtain two sets of straps to support engine to chassis then withdraw the entire subframe and overhaul as needed. I Have many other pics on the process if you need them.
