Hi, I am new to this, please forgive me if I am in the wrong place please advise.

I have a problem with my GL 320 4matic, 2008, 46000 miles.

I have a 2 year extended warranty on the above mentioned vehicle, it is now breathing from the crank case and is leaving oil deposits at the joins between the inlet pipe and the turbo and the joint on the right hand side by the sensor unit. The exhaust tail pipes and the surrounding back bumper (fender) are black and sooty.

My local dealer is telling me that it is allowed to use as much as 0.8 litres of oil per 600 miles before a problem is recognised. can any one tell me if this is true?
This amounts to 3 Imperial gallons of oil for 12000 miles. I have never needed to put that much oil in any vehicle I have owned, even after 150,000 miles and more.
Also are piston rings and oil control rings part of a full dealer extended warranty? thanks for reading, help please.
