I'm sure some shrink could make sense of my un-natural attraction when it comes to these engines, but W...I'm more then comfortable w/ my obsession.

IMHO, this SEC was a Deal the first time it showed up on the scene...Still is, or rather Was:thumbsup:

more pictures etc will be posted once she lands out here on the East Coast..

Back to work so I can make some $$ to pay for this thing!

I'm guessing the Renntech transplant that has the low-mileage 32v engine and GT rear-end.

Either way, Congrats Jono! Are you keeping the car together? Or did you grab it for the bits?

more for the bits in this case...I have a Very nice 91 standard drivetrain that we'll freshen up and drop in making for a Very nice, Sorted SEC. Already have someone interested..she may get a set of tri y's etc to make things more interesting!

I never saw this car on Ebay, when was this auction? I know what the CO paid about a year ago from the fellow in Idaho. CO was/is Well versed in things 32V, we have a pleasant conversation:)

Fun Times, and Thanks ya'll for the kind [email protected] least ya'll don't find my insanity troubling..!

Ohhhhhhh Jonoooooo, I nearly faint at the thought of so much AMG goodness in one place. If I had as many 4V heads as youl I'd bring them all real close together, outstretch my arms and just rub and touch them all for hours on end..... :Smoker:

Congrats on another fine aquisition.

tusabes, that eBay one for $5k was for a blue SEC w/ 6.0L SOHC.

Yes, its the same Idaho 32V "used car special" from the thread posted above.

Even putting in a fresh US 5.6 motor, the car still has 293,000 miles on it, so it'd take a special buyer to recongize the fact the car was well-cared.

Nice spare 32V to have!

the other reason I bought it is there is a STAAAACCCCCK of records from the day it was new...and Everything, I mean EVERYTHING has been replaced on this car, in many cases multiple times..

I was going to have the CO send over all the records fedex, but it comes in @ over 5 lbs...so ground it is :p

5K for a SOHC 6.0L SEC ain't bad..but I got mine for 2400;-)

Congratulations! Excellent score and value!!! Look forward to more photos, details and the projects that ensue.

Now you've racked up 128 dohc valves, I'm looking for a mere 16 intake and 16 exhaust. ;)

I have GOT to finish the FrankenBenz if for no other reason than to get y'all into the 21st century!! Even more power, better reliability, parts available everywhere, better fuel efficiency, lighter than an M117 and M119.

With the kits that are on the market now, ALL the HP in the world is available!! Want 1,000HP? Write the check. 1,500 HP - write a bigger check but it's here now.

Stock(!) HP ratings:
305 - 350 HP in an LS1.
405 HP in an LS6.
505 HP in an LS7.
735 HP in an LS9!!

All those engines are exactly the same size. Build a car with an LS1 in mind, then bolt in the LS7, small block 427. Whatcha want?

Did I mention parts available in every city? Then there is Summit Racing..... :)

@ Bondavi, not 100% decided yet, but likely end up in another car.

@ Osaj, #126 upon close inspection has been found to be covered in about 5-6 coats of paint, in many places the bondo is thick enough so that I can't get a decent magnet to hold..rust in the frame rails/window channels, doors and floors... Engine and trans are out. She's likely going to have the VIN tags pulled and be sent out to pasture.

@Henric, Thanks..:) be aware, once the 32V monster moves in under your bed it never leaves!

@ Mike, Chevy is Simple in many ways but it doesn't speak Quite the same language:p
