This sounds really silly, but please read on!.....

Why is it that whenever I get in my SLK and it has been raining, I can never close the door quickly enough to avoid getting a soaked arm, shoulder and inside of my door?

Is it me?............[:)]

Perhaps the fact that the window lowers an inch or two when you open the door and doesn't go up until the door fully closes has something to do with it. This is a factory built function.

I quite agree Gary, mine stays tucked up in the garage if anything like damp. Was caught out on the motorway once when I hit a sudden thunderstorm with the roof off........stayed nice and dry inside though at 70mph.

Now, honestly, Swag; a Brit complaining about getting a tad wet in a roadster? Way back in (mumble, mumble) when we drove British sports cars with zippered tonneau covers, my A-H stayed so wet in Summer that grass grew in the carpets. You guys are getting soft! [:D]
