The window regulator was just changed in my front right door.

Now the button to get in the rear seat doesnt work on the first try all the time.

Is this related?

a screw for the door handle fell out so i am thinking he might of gave it to an assistant to put it back together. my car has grease on the seat and on the door.

It's my understanding that - when working properly - opening a door automatically releases the coupe seat back locks. The action is controlled by or through a door switch, possibly the same one that controls the dome light. Exactly how it works I don't know, probably an electro-vac switch like those that control the ventilation system. But I suspect something was set amiss during the window regulator replacement.

IF you're talking about the vacuum release button which allows the seat back to flip forward, no its not related to a window regulator. However, its possible that the vacuum system got messed up during the repair of the window regulator. Unlikely if a pro job; however grease and stuff on the seat doesn't sound like a pro job.

Sounds like an isolated vacuum issue, or problem with the switch itself.
