Hello, I have an 87 300 gd with a 5-speed transplanted from a 123 sedan. It is a getrag 717.490 suffix tranny. Does anyone on this forum know what the gear ratios are in this series tranny? Just curious to know what i've got. Thanks for your help, Chris

Hold on a minute.
A 5 speed manual for a w123?
Willing to trade a body part (figuretively speaking) for a 5 spd. manual.
Would appreciate any details (part #'s) of tranny.
Is there a cross index to match motors to trannys?
Have an '83 240D.
Thx

The tranny was bought new in a crate about 9 yrs. ago from Mercedes here are the numbers as they appear on the housing.
31.5003.00
275.0.0200.90
123260200171749090054107
I believe it was used in a 300 td sedan 1985.
