hey guys wassup? once in a while when i drive my clk430 the card gets stuck in 1st gear. and it will not shift to second.. i had to actually turn the car off then on again..and the problem went away.. this happened twice in like 2 months..any ideas on what could be wrong?

Same problem

My 99 ML320 does the same thing and has for 2 or three years. Seems to be related to sitting still idling for an extended period of time. Also only correction is turning off then back on after which it's fine again for hundreds or even thousands of miles. Have you ever found a solution?

Hmm....sit still idling? Did it rain a day or two before these problems surfaced?

Don't remember but why. I'm in Florida where it rains almost every day in the summer so it could be. I did notice it happens every time I sit still idling while in neutral for a couple minutes.
