Hi....considering buying S320 ('91) or S 500 SEL ('93). How much gas it "eats" on 100km?

My "well tuned" S420 gives an awesome 26-28 mpg on flat highway at constant 70mph. In the hilly town areas where I live, I get a pathetic 8 mpg.
