About a month ago the car starting smelling of gas only when the HVAC is on inside the cabin. This is not after a fill-up, neither do I have a puddle under the car, nor smell gas any other time. Also if the recirculation is turned on, I do not smell gas I side the cabin.

Remove the rear seat cushions and then the round access covers to inspect the fuel sender (left side) and fuel pump (right side). A common problem are leaking seals and also leaks on top of the sender where the pressure sensor is located.

Thanks. I will try. The part that doesn't make sense is that I only smell the odor when the HVAC is on and not recirculating the air. I even smelled around the engine compartment and nothing.
