Just removed the seats in my car - lot's of junk including $4.53 toward refurbishing costs.

One or two gas bills too.

One from 22-11-1991 had gas at 56.9c/l - cost me $33.15 for 58.3l.

Another 09-12-1990 had gas at 64.9c/l - cost me $31.80 for 49l

So gas actually went down from 1990 to 1991.

Wonder when that will happen again!

I remember back then in Canada that gas stations would have ongoing price wars. It would start about 64.9 cents/liter...and work its way down over several days to about 54.9. Then the next morning it would bounce back up!

So buying gas back then was like playing chicken. You'd try to time it for the lowest price...but if you guessed one day too late you'd have an empty fuel tank and a receipt for the highest going rate! :D

(And yes, I missed the mark more than once...)
