I'm a new member and own a C230 Kompressor (year 2000). I'm a DIY-guy and this forum has been quite helpful for learning.
I decided to put this question in the general forum as it could apply to many types of Mercedes.
2 weeks ago, I was replacing my ignition coils and in the process...
Lent my S280 to my sister-in-law got a phone call saying the car wont start in the high St my work was only 5 minutes away so I went over to see what was wrong, Dead no start after calling the AA got the car carried away to my local work shop.
Starter motor & relay had burnt out.
My question is...
I just purchased a W124. The seller had it registered as a 1985, but the Wikipedia pages I read seem to indicate the 124 didn't exist until 1986. I have tried multiple online VIN decoders and they say the VIN is not valid. I have also tried to enter it into EPC but it also comes up with nothing...
Question: What does this mean...
Also.. Using a Foxwell Scan Tool
5502 Level calibration in not successfully carried out
5400 Check the component F58kG (Air suspension compressor)
5045 ECM not identified or incorrect control module
2010 ML 63... Any Insight would be helpful...
