Truck has been great but has started having electric gremlins.
I kept getting an “Undervoltage” message so I replaced the battery and alternator- factory correct everything. A few weeks with the new components and suddenly the gauge cluster stars going nuts and multiple malfunction issues are displayed (see photos)
to add to the mystery the driving is not affected at all. I drove it 20 minutes home with no problem. When I cut the car off and come back 5 minutes later to crank it up there’s no issue.
The issues seem to be happening with greater frequency now and I am hearing the occasional clicking from the module that sits under the passenger side seat.Has anyone had these issues or know how to fix them?

Has it been raining a lot? Water can get in through a variety of routes. If it gets into wiring or the SAM modules, all kinds of mischief can start happening.
Possibilities: roof antenna cracked, wiper spindles loose, plugged HVAC drains.

Thanks, I’ll check those. I received an email from a fellow Mercedes enthusiast regarding the SAM units being plagued with problems. Apparently this issue covers a very broad array of Mercedes, 2003-2022; it includes the G series. A class action lawsuit has been initiated. Has anyone heard anything more about this? I wonder if I simply got a bad one.

Sounds like a Rear SAM issue. 800 dollar part and couple hour job. No class action suite things happen it s a 20 year old vehicle. Super low mileage vehicles present their own kind of problems like corrosion on electrical parts.
