I just finished this job. It's a real "trip", since the lower oil pan must be removed; and there is no gasket used. Only Loctite 5900 Sealant.

If anyone needs to do this job, let me know; and I'll give you some tips to make it easier. It was a genuine learning experience.[:0]

FWIW, the presenting problem requiring this job was not a lack of function of the oil level sensor; but a slow oil leak down the right side of the oil pan. This used to be only an occasional spot on the garage floor, but turned into a regular drip after driving.

There's an O-ring that seals the sensor into the upper oil pan, and dirt and grit can work their way down into and around the O-ring causing it to leak.
