Just want to see if any experts here have a any idea....

I have a 02 G500 with a new battery installed a couple months ago. The car hasn't been driven for the last 2 weeks and the batter is completely dead!

I'm suspecting some circuit is shorting creating a drain. Just want to see if anyone has encountered a similar problem and the possible culprits.

The last service done was an oil change and the replacement of an A/C receiving line, which I don't believe could have caused the drain.

I have had a car for 12 months and it has been fine.

Thanks in advance!

Check the obvious, make sure no lights are staying on. Check the rear cargo lights, sometimes a bad latch micro switch can keep those on.

I had similar problem with my 05 BMW X5 4.8IS... Well, it turned out to be two completely independent problems: Problem 1 was that it just happened to be defected new battery. I would never thought so, but it turns out that you can still buy the new battery and it will be defected (will not hold the charge)... Problem 2 was the computer self check actually works even when the car is sitting in the garage, and if it detects a problem, it's sort of working on it without you knowing about it, therefore there is the leak... But that was BMW...

I had my G55 sitting in the garage in Houston TX for 2 months this winter, with the two year old battery in it, I came back and it started just fine.

When I leave my X5 for two months, the battery will die for sure.

I would check the battery before searching throughout the vehicle... Hope this would help.

For mine, it was a combination of the alarm and the phone
