Hello,

Lately I have been tinkering with the 2013 CLS550. Is this the W218 or C218? I have so many questions for this car. It seems like the one I have does not have a front driver side panel fuse box. I'm trying to put in a dash cam and the closest way so far is in through the hood of the car. I have attached some photos showing the locations of fuse boxes. The second closest way to hardwire the dash cam is through the trunk's fuse box but as you can see in the picture it is protected by some type of casing which is too small for these fuses. I am using https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G9WTWB9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H4B75YL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The wire that comes with the hardwire kit is too thick to fit in the fuse box in the trunk. I don't know what those magenta and yellow cases are called or why they are there (to protect fuses?) With those there I cannot put the ATO fuse adaptor in. This is the first dilemma. I want to have the camera on a live fuse so it can still be on when the car is off.

My second question is putting the driver side exterior mirror in parking position. When I reverse and hit the mirror it doesn't move at all, but it does move when I do this with the passenger exterior mirror when I go into reverse and hit the mirror button. Could this mean that only one of my exterior mirror work when I reverse?

Please please help!

Thank You,
Johnny

I see, thats unfortunate that I don't have that extra feature.

The "restrictive" fuse box would that be my trunk though? I've attached the images in the very first post. Thats the picture of my trunk fuse box, it has these childproof-like locking on it, which blocks access to stick the whole ATO fuse in. Would it be possible for a beginner DIY to plug in the hood of the car through the interior?

Thank You

There should be a hot wire up at your inside rear view mirror already to tap into for your dash cam.
